Tufts University Quidditch
Tufts University Quidditch was founded in 2009 by a group of freshmen with a talent for jokes, promotional videos, and quidditch. We gained international quidditch fame in 2010 for our second-place finish at World Cup IV.
Since then the organization has grown to host a nationally ranked Tournament Team, the The Tufts University Tufflepuffs. We compete regularly against other quidditch teams in Boston and beyond, including Harvard, Emerson, Boston University, and Brandeis. The Tufflepuffs seek to provide a fun, but competitive, environment that has helped us wreck pitches and catch snitches up and down the East Coast.
Beyond the Tournament Team, we also offer many other ways to be involved with quidditch. We pioneered a "Kidditch" program in our Medford/Somerville community, where we teach local kids how to play quidditch at events as well weekly at the Medford Boys and Girls Club. Tufts Quidditch won one of the first-ever International Quidditch Association Community Service Awards at QuidCon 2012 for our Kidditch program.
