Tufts University Quidditch
The Tufts University Tufflepuffs were founded in 2009 by a group of freshmen with a talent for jokes, promotional videos, and, of course, quidditch. We gained international quid fame in 2010 for our second-place finish at World Cup IV that year.
Since then the organization has grown to host a nationally ranked Tournament Team. The team competes regularly against other quidditch teams, both in Boston and beyond. We seek to provide a fun but competitive environment, that has helped us to wreck pitches and catch snitches up and down the East Coast.
Beyond the tournament team, we also offer many other ways to be involved. Anyone is welcome to come to quidditch practice and engage in our fun sport. We also pioneered a "Kidditch" program in our community. Each year, group of student travels to the Medford Boys and Girls Club to play quidditch with local kids on a weekly bases. Tufts Quidditch won one of the first-ever IQA Community Service Awards at QuidCon 2012 for the team's Kidditch program.
